Bans/Patterns/Parts
Banks: each bank holds 4 parts and 16 patterns so this is this is the top level of the project.
Patterns: holds all the triggers, locks and part changes. A lot of octatrack users never touch the parts so I would say patters are above parts.
Parts: holds all the machine settings, scene settings and fx settings.
